Dog Boarding

The kennel building includes spacious indoor/outdoor runs, complete with rubber mats for your dog's comfort. Adding to their comfort, the building is heated for those chilly winter days and air conditioned for the hot summer days. The runs are spacious enough so that families do not have to be split up. The outdoor runs are completely covered and face a forest-like setting. Hygiene is of utmost importance. All runs are disinfected thoroughly between visitors and a cleaning routine is carried out daily. The building has plenty of natural lighting, as well as artificial lighting using "daylight" bulbs. Music playing in the background provides for a more relaxed atmosphere.

Cat Boarding

The cattery is separate from our canine guests and includes spacious floor to ceiling condos with multi-level shelves. From the upper shelves, cat guests can watch the outside world through a large bay window. The cattery is kept warm during the winter and cool during the summer. We pay attention to detail with respect to hygiene, health and safety. Condos are cleaned daily, including litter boxes, and disinfected thoroughly between visitors. Within the cattery, cats (or cat families) are individually let out into the play area during the working day. Activities include scratching posts, a "kitty jungle gym" or lounging in the bay window. Music playing in the background provides for a more relaxed atmosphere.

Boarding for Birds and Other Small Pets

Birds and other small pets stay in our office, which has heating and air conditioning and plenty of natural light.

What to Pack for Your Pet

Your pet's food (due to food allergies and digestive problems that sometimes occur with diet changes), favorite toys, treats and a bed or blanket. For your convenience, we supply stainless steel dishes and cat litter boxes / litter. For dog guests, please provide a well fitting collar and leash.

What We Provide

We are knowledgeable and experienced pet care providers, having had dog and cat companions for many years. Our goal is to make your pet's stay an enjoyable experience. All pets in our care receive individual and personalized attention. In addition, dog guests are walked on leash 2 to 3 time daily around a 1/2 mile track, giving them plenty of sight and smell stimulation. Our days start early and end late, so your pet is on a schedule similar to home.

Special Needs

If your pet is on any medication, including insulin, we will be happy to administer it. Please mark all medications with your pet's name, dosage and condition being treated. Also please alert us to any recent illness your pet may have suffured or of any special temperament problems we may experience so that we will be better equipped to manage any situation that may arise. We are also more than happy to accommodate any special diet your pet may be on.

Vaccinations

For the safety and well being of all our cat and dog guests, we require proof of current vaccinations. Dog guests are required to have their DHLPP, Bordetella (kennel cough) and Rabies vaccines. Cat guests are required to have their FVRCP and Rabies vaccines. Puppies (4+ months) and kittens must have completed their full series of vaccinations before boarding with us. For older pets or pets who have had previous reactions to vaccinations, a current blood titer from your veterinarian will suffice. Please ensure you bring your pet's vaccination records with you or request that your veterinarian e-mail us a copy. We reserve the right to deny admittance to pets displaying signs of untreated or potentially contagious health conditions.

Emergencies

Our residence is steps away from the kennel building, allowing for 24-hour supervision and care of your pet. In the unlikely event your pet becomes ill, we are knowledgeabe in pet first aid. A veterinarian is also available for consultation.
